So it seems many have already hung up their spokes or perhaps simply set them up on indoor trainers for the season! (riiiiiight...) Nevertheless Saturday rides will continue on...so long as roads are ride-able/passable.

We began with a mixed group of 11 die hard intermediate and rec riders and although we had a somewhat varied group, we ended up getting a great workout in. The group included one newbie (Daniel), recently relocated from Denton, Texas. He claimed not to be acclimatized yet but hung in quite well. It wasn't as cold as they were threatening but windy but we were nervous about threats of rain and didn't venture far from the shop. Justin and Jeffrey took the group into Cherry Creek Reservoir to do a series of 6 hill repeats which added a fitness and warmth benefit. About half the group, who were more hopeful than the leaders ;) about the state of the weather, split off to do a longer ride. Most of all, there was a lot of camaraderie in the group from being out riding at a time of year when most people hang up the cleats!
