RECAP Group Ride Saturday Feb. 13th

Hello every one, if you decided to skip this past weeks ride because of the route I had planned you made a mistake unfortunately.  We had a really great ride and it turned out to be a pretty nice day.  The sun graced us with its presence and temps in the mid 40's.  Thanks to some intel from Cliff we changed the ride route at the last minute.  Due to more snow/ice being on the path than I anticipated over on the S. Platte trail that Cliff informed me of and then some more along Speer we took a vote and decided to stay on main roads and head east.  We ended up doing a similar route to last weeks but we added a little more mileage by riding along Centennial Airport and then to 470 and did the same route back on Jordan.

We had a nice tight group of seven this week with Joe joining us as a new comer from Austrailia and Randy brought a friend along to join us also.  Ray joined us after a long absence since the summer time.  It was great to have all of you and I hope you join us more often.  As I explained up above we pretty much did the same route as last we but instead of taking Chambers to 470 we rode along side Centennial Airport and then went north on 470 to our usual refueling stop at the gas station on the corner of Cottonwood and Parker.  We then took Jordan all the way back where we ran into a pretty hard head wind all the way back to the shop.  Randy took the lead for a while as we formed a nice little pace line behind him.  We then road through the reservoir, back on to the Cherry Creek trail and then up the hill back to BV.

You guys road really well together and we had a really great ride together.  I look forward to seeing you all again next Saturday for another adventure.  Here is a little eye candy and ride stats.
